Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. When you post a listing, we collect a photo, a title and description, and a precise location for pickup. When you browse, your device may share an approximate location with your browser to show nearby listings — this is used only to query listings and is not stored on our servers.
Location data and fuzzing
The exact pickup location you provide when posting a listing is never shown publicly. Browse, map, and listing-detail views show only an approximate, neighborhood-level location. Your exact pickup location is shared only with the user whose claim on your listing has been confirmed.
Cookies and advertising
FreeSNM is supported by display advertising. Once advertising is active, we and our advertising partners (including Google, via Google AdSense) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings. FreeSNM does not sell your personal information to third parties.
Content moderation
Every photo you upload is automatically screened, including a mandatory check against known child sexual abuse material (CSAM) hash databases as required by federal law. Confirmed matches are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and blocked from ever appearing on the site.
Data retention
Listings are automatically removed from browse and search results after they expire. We retain account and listing records as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us below. Residents of certain US states may have additional rights under state privacy law; we honor requests consistent with those laws.
Children's privacy
FreeSNM is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves and will update the date above when we do.
